The 97 Revision Revolution rolled in to the 2Hot4Ice Regional Tournament in Richmond VA with one thing on their minds – Winning GOLD!  After taking the Silver a few weeks earlier at the NARCH Regionals in Apex NC (with only half of their team) with a tough loss to Team Carolina 96, they were ready to play.

Led by forwards Travis Broughman, Zach Herndon, Jordan Patrick and DJ Smith, the Revolution went 3 and 0 in the Round Robin games with an impressive 5-2 win over Team Carolina 96. Led by an aggressive defense, the team only gave up 3 goals in 3 games.  Andrew Manz, Blaine Adams, Cody Pierpont, Joshua Aldrich and Chris Caldwell all had strong defensive performances.  Goalie Andrew Martz was strong in the net with a shut out and excellent play throughout the tournament.

The Revolution would face a tough Mad Dogs 96  team in the semifinals and had to win to go to the D1 Championship. Both teams skated hard and the Revolution came away with a 6-4 win.  The Revolution would face the Team Playmaker in the Championship.  Team Playmaker was also undefeated in Round Robin play and beat Team Carolina 96 in OT in the other semifinal game.

In one of the best and hardest fought games in the tournament, the Revolution scored in OT to win 2-1 and capture the Gold.  Every player on the Revolution worked hard to obtain their goal of winning the GOLD.  Jordan Patrick was the Top Scorer in the tournament as well.
